If you come across a dead red squirrel we would appreciate if you would carefully lift it using double or treble layers of plastic bags to protect your hands. Put the body in a sealed plastic box, put the box in another series of plastic bags and put it in the bottom of a fridge. Then thoroughly wash your hands and contact us to report it. There is a scientific study of red squirrels being undertaken at Queen's University, Belfast.
